Description
8″x10″ reproduction of my acrylic cloud painting “After Work” March 2025
Giclee on gallery-grade 220 gsm fine art paper
About the original work:
I made this painting during a time when I was still working at a corporation. Leaving after a tiring day of work, I snapped a picture of the tumultous clouds outside. It looked like a storm was brewing, and I was amazed by how the colors from the sunset were reflected in the fluffy formations. I painted this on a 12″x20″ canvas with acrylic paint over the span of 4 days, often staying at the studio well into the nighttime. Painting clouds in the nighttime was a gratifying reprieve from the corporate slavery of the daytime. This piece was a peaceful and meditative endeavor, and I hope that viewers can feel those same feelings. I have always been in awe of cloud formations, so I feel compelled to study their form and color in order to replicate and share that awe-struck feeling.
